About NextLife Humanitarian Foundation

Nextlife Humanitarian Foundation was founded in the year 2019 through the inspiration gotten from an encounter with some internally displaced persons at one of the Internally Displaced Camps in Benue State, North Central Nigeria. As at the time this organization was established, the IDP camps in the state witnessed a total number of one million, five hundred thousand people including women and children.

Due to the poor political leadership in the country, the IDPs were abandoned in the camps and were rather used for political capital. Due to the activities of farmers/ headers, people were sent out of their ancestral homes with nothing to rely on. The people were faced with all kinds of humanitarian issues such as lack of potable water, no proper feeding, poor clothing, all kinds of healthcare challenges, etc.

The idea is to provide a platform in which persons facing humanitarian challenges across the country most especially those in Benue State, north central Nigeria are provided with relief and the opportunity to start up from somewhere. These opportunities have been provided in areas of human capacity development through the provision of vocational activities such as tailoring, hairdressing, welding and fabrication, computer training, fish farming, and many other opportunities available.

We have specifically focused on training and empowerment of widows, orphans, and other vulnerable individuals in our society. The organization provides healthcare delivery in form of testing of people in diseases such as HIV/ADS, sickle cell, hepatitis virus, hopes, and diabetes, in one of our partners who has made available a well-furnished laboratory facility for humanitarian purposes.

The rural areas of Benue State North Central Nigeria are places were man has been reduced to the worst human treatment in terms of poverty. Tatch houses are the common means of shelter, non availability of portable water, poor roads network, almost absent healthcare delivery system with high level of mortality rate, child abuse and rape are common in these areas. In urban areas, drugs and other substance abuse have dominated the youth population with the government doing almost nothing to reduce this menace.

We came with the intention of bringing succor to our people by training and empowering them, creating awareness in areas they needed to know, partnering with other development managers and government to reduce the suffering of the people. We are sincerely here to make a difference in the life of our people.
